Growing up, my mother was almost always reading a book. I decided this year that I should definitely read more books. (I read a lot of magazines; books are far more impressive.) I resolved to read at least one a month - which seems extraordinarily pathetic, but that's up from about ~3 a year. Here are my first 2 (^Salvador & Straw Dogs). I'm tracking ahead of schedule so perhaps I will end up w/ ~20 read by the end of the year.
