David has been having a great year so we celebrated this weekend with a nice bottle of red wine and some lovely small plates at Avec - a wonderful little wine bar in Chicago. I think the chorizo-stuffed dates with bacon was a small slice of heaven. http://www.avecrestaurant.com/
