I love J.M. Coetzee. Disgrace is one of the most compelling and powerful pieces of literature I've ever read. I really just seem to enjoy everything he writes (and I'm not too terribly an avid reader - sorry, mom). I'm now reading Youth and it's amazing (if you read a bit about Coetzee, it's a tad autobiographical). Coetzee is really interesting - read a little more about him on the Nobel Prize website (www.nobelprize.org).
